This painting was inspired by Bernini’s Rape of Persephone, particularly the tension created through touch and the way bodies press, hold and leave traces on one another. I wanted to explore that same physicality through paint, using exaggerated hands and close cropping to focus attention on pressure. The piece explores discomfort and loss of control.

What is the difference between an Original and a Print?
Prints are high resolution scans of an Original Artwork which are then printed onto premium paper. An Original Artwork is a piece of artwork that has been hand painted and one of a kind.
